While visiting Dr. Norm Shealy in Springfield,
MO, I was given the opportunity to ‘work’ on
two people. Each person, in turn was connected to the
EEG in one part of the building. I was kept in a different
part of the building, and had no contact with the people
before the experiment. The intention was to see if
my dowsing had any influence on the brain wave state of the
two subjects.
Each subject spent a half hour relaxing while the equipment
evaluated a pre-baseline reading for the person. Basically,
this gave us a standard from which we were able to observe
if any change occurred. After the half hour, I spent
ten minutes ‘tuning in’ to the person, this was
followed by another ten minute post-baseline period to establish
any change subsequent to the clearing.
As you can see from the following reports by Dr. Shealy,
in both cases there was significant change in the brain wave
states of the two individuals.
Case A
Interpretation:
The baseline shows a gradual increase in alpha activity centred
around 10 Hz interestingly with much more in the central and
frontoparietal areas even than in the occipital area, at least
visually. On the other hand, in the final baseline prior to
intervention, the alpha rhythm frontoparietally was around
30%, 47% centrally, and 36 to 37% in the occipital area.
When Erics dowsing began intervening for the first
five minutes, the alpha rhythm intensity in the frontoparietal
area goes up to 31%, down to 42% centrally, and down to 30
and 32% in the occipital area. With the second five minutes
of his intervention, there is a slight rebound in the frontoparietal
areas but still a decrease centrally and occipitally.
In the post period, the alpha rhythm in the occipital areas
rebounds by the second period. We can say as unequivocally
as possible that there was a marked decrease in obvious alpha
rhythm, especially in the 9 to 11 Hz frequency in the occipital
regions, associated with Erics intervention.

Case
B Interpretation:
In the baseline the dominant activity is delta fairly evenly
distributed in the frontoparietal, central and occipital areas
ranging from 53% centrally to 76% in the right occipital region.
With Eric Dowsetts dowsing healing energy in the first
five minutes, there was a striking increase in alpha in the
central area from 24% to 32% and an increase in alpha in the
occipital areas from 12 and 17% up to 15 and 26% and an increase
in alpha frontoparietally from 15% to 20%. In the second period
of Erics intent, it essentially goes back almost to
the baseline area and remains so in the post period.
